Star Wars Battlefront II (SWBF2)is a PC, Xbox, and PS4 game published by EA. It is the first of this game line to have a canon singleplayer campaign mode, which focused on the life of Inferno Squad leader Iden Versio.

Battlefront II, like most games of it's time, features multiple different gamemodes, differing in length, amount of players, and location.
Galactic Assault[]
By far the most popular mode, galactic assault features many different maps and situations, from Theed to Starkiller Base. Rounds typically consist of three to four objectives, mainly a defending unit versus an attacking with twenty players on each side.

Starfighter Assault[]
Starfighter assault is the only strictly aircraft mode. It, like galactic assault, consists of an attacking and defending team with twenty players on each side, although one side's objective is to destroy an object rather than capture it.

Heroes versus Villains[]
Heroes versus Villains, or HvV, is a gamemode for eight players, who play, as the name suggests, heroes or villains. There are many options for these, such as Darth Vader or Yoda.

Strike[]
A small, concentrated mode, Strike consists of two teams and one objective, or two small, similar ones. The teams are made up of ten players on each side, and the maps are much smaller, but on the same planets, of galactic assault.
