One", who would bring balance to the Force.

Early Years[]

Anakin Skywalker was born on Tatooine to Shmi Skywalker. He was a virgin conception of the Force, with no man being involved. Later, however, Darth Sidious suggested that the Sith Lord Darth Plageous influenced the Force to create life, implying that Anakin was actually created by Plageous.

Anakin and Shmi Skywalker were slaves to Watto, a Toydarian junk dealer. They originally belonged to Gardulla the Hutt, but were sold to Watto when Anakin was around five years old.

Jedi Training[]

Skywalker was trained as a Jedi by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Fall to the Dark Side[]

After wounding Jedi Master Mace Windu, Skywalker knelt before Sidious and proclaimed his allegiance to the Dark Side of the Force. Sidious proclaimed the fallen Jedi to be his apprentice, Darth Vader. He then commanded Vader to travel to Mustafar and destroy the Separatist Council. Vader proceeded to do so, wiping out the last of the CIS leaders, including Wat Tambor and Nute Gunray.

Skywalker on Mustafar

Following this, Vader was alerted to a ship approaching, identified as the Nubian vessel belonging to his wife, Padme Amidala. Vader rushed to greet her, but was quickly suprised by his old friend - now enemy - Obi-Wan, who had been aboard Padme's ship. Vader and Obi-Wan proceeded to duel in the mining facility, eventually destroying it. Obi-Wan was able to acheive the high ground, and quickly delivered a fatal blow that sliced cleanly through all of Anakin's limbs, except for his prosthetic arm. After Obi-Wan's escape, Darth Sidious - now the ruler of the Galactic Empire - arrived. Vader survived and was taken to a medical facility, where he received the body armor so commonly associated with his name, and fully destroying what was once Anakin Skywalker.
